BIkaner. The political dispute surrounding the BJP ticket for Ward 75 in the Bikaner Municipal Corporation elections has taken a new turn. A statement by Mahavir Saini, the party's civic election in-charge, regarding the issue of former UIT Chairman Mahavir Ranka’s ticket being "cancelled" has added a new twist to the entire episode.
Putting an end to speculations about his ticket being cancelled, BJP civic election in-charge Mahavir Saini remarked, "How could it be cancelled when it was never awarded in the first place?" This statement has once again made the Ward 75 issue a topic of political discussion.
He clarified that Mahavir Ranka had applied for the party ticket and his name was included in the panel of probable candidates. However, Ranka’s name was not included in the final list of candidates. Describing Ranka as a dedicated party worker, Saini noted that Ranka has welcomed the decision taken by the party.
