Major Opportunity to Set Up Industry in Rajasthan; RIICO’s E-Auction of Land Sparks Interest Among Businesspeople

Jaipur: To accelerate industrial activity and provide land to investors, the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has initiated an e-auction process for industrial and non-industrial plots. Applications for plots across various industrial areas have been invited under this process, which began in August.

According to the latest information released by RIICO, the deadline for submitting applications and the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for the e-auction of industrial and non-industrial plots is set for 6:00 PM on August 31 and September 1, 2026. Meanwhile, the application deadline for the e-auction of undeveloped or semi-developed land has been extended to 6:00 PM on September 25, 2026.

Focus on Industrial Areas from Sitapura to Neemrana

RIICO’s operational scope spans several key industrial areas across the state. The latest schedule highlights industrial activities and processes involving areas such as Sitapura, Ajmer, Kota, Neemrana, Jodhpur, Bhiwadi, Balotra, and Sri Ganganagar. Details regarding the processes for these locations in September are also listed on the RIICO website.

Notably, the schedule includes Sitapura ENIT-2 on September 1, followed by Ajmer ENIT-1 and Boranada ENIT-2 on September 2. Subsequently, ENIT processes are listed for Sri Ganganagar, Bhiwadi, and Jodhpur on September 7; Balotra and Neemrana on September 8; and Kota on September 9.

Online Process for Prospective Industrialists

Interested bidders can participate in the process online via RIICO’s e-auction system. In accordance with RIICO’s regulations, bidders are required to complete the prescribed registration process and deposit the EMD and participation fee. The successful bidder is selected based on the highest bid and RIICO's approval.

RIICO has also provided facilities such as user manuals, FAQs, an e-auction dashboard, and past results on a dedicated online portal for e-auctions.

Industrial development in Rajasthan could gain momentum.

RIICO is the key government agency responsible for developing industrial areas in Rajasthan. According to RIICO, it operates 33 regional offices and manages 446 developed industrial areas across the state. More than 42,344 industrial units are currently operational within these areas.

The availability of industrial land through e-auctions could create new opportunities for entrepreneurs looking to set up new industries as well as for existing companies planning to expand. The availability of land—particularly in industrial hubs like Jaipur, Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Jodhpur, Kota, and Ajmer—is considered crucial for investment and employment generation.
